The landing place
Cadimare is the westernmost hamlet on the Gulf of Poets in the municipality of La Spezia, after Acquasanta and Marola, on the Napoleonic road that leads to Porto Venere. The name of the hamlet comes from "Cà da mare". The landing place in the hamlet of Cadimare is reached by going along the western coast of the Gulf; during the journey, it is possible to see the boundaries and structures of the Military Arsenal, further up the lush hilly profiles of Coregna-San Rocco and Il Piano. Sea and strong offshore winds can make it difficult to get on and off the boat.
Interesting facts
The village of the Pirates is one of the 13 hamlets that competes in the traditional Palio of the Gulf. By sea, it is possible to recognize the shore that the shade of the maritime pines protects from the summer sun; you can see the small port, the fishermen's square, the sports field, and the typical brightly-painted Ligurian houses, very close to each other. Further up is the bell tower of the Church of Our Lady of Tears, which was consecrated in 1741.
Long ago, a spring of fresh water about six meters in diameter emerged in the stretch of sea opposite the hamlet, a short distance from the promontory where the Tower of San Girolamo once stood, which still separates it from the town of Marola.

From Cadimare it is possible to leave via our motorboats for the hamlets of San Terenzo, Lerici and Tellaro and the Cinque Terre with a stopover in Porto Venere.
